storyboarding
- 10 marks
You have been guided through
the basic principles of HyperStudio creating a mini-stack. You will
now
plan a project stack on your own. The instructor will
give you the due dates for the tasks below.
The Tasks
Part 1 - 5 marks
-
Choose your topic from
the choices discussed in class.
-
Think about your message and the continuity
of your design (i.e. a program on fish could incorporate a water background
on each screen).
-
Think multimedia! With this particular
hypermedia program, think of how you can convey your message graphically
first, then consider what text and sounds you will add.
-
Make an outline of your information by creating
a simple flowchart (like the one discussed in the lesson) to help
organize the structure.
-
Go to the bulletin board
section of the course and post a short two or three sentence statement
explaining what your project will be about and how you will organize its
structure.
Part 2 - 10
marks
-
Use numbered storyboard cards (click
here if you need blank ones) to further organize your design.
-
On the first storyboard card put the main
topic of your project.
-
Draw your button(s) indicating the number
of the card it links to.
-
Keep going until you have a storyboard card
representing every card for your stack(s).
-
Make 20 the maximum number of cards for your
stack (it is better to button together lots of little stacks rather than
creating one giant stack).
-
Number your storyboard cards Stack #1 - Card
#1, Card #2..... etc. If you have more than 5 or 6 cards or a number
of topic areas then you might want to consider adding other stacks to your
project.
-
Go to the bulletin board section of the course
and post a short statement on how you can use stacks to organize the information
in your project.
